Protege-based system for ontologies' development and support |

State-of-the-art requirements to control systems stipulate the scope of currently solved tasks enhancement. Heterogeneous Information sources are used for these tasks solving, at that quantitative and qualitative constituents of information resources are differentiated. To solve tasks inherent to dispatching authorities (control authorities) these separate information arrays should be fused and integrated.
In addition the state-of-the-art information systems are composed of many functional subsystems, being in turn the complex systems characterized by heterogeneous (having manifold structure and content) information flows. To receive a really unified system it is necessary to arrange for the data flows integration that first and foremost requires an application of a unified model for representing subject domain objects, i. e. unified ontology.
The above proposed approach allows replenishing, amending and justifying information from certain flows by information from other flows without extra transforms.

For the sake of the described problem solution the Laboratory: - developed the unified format of ontologies representation and specified necessary entities, their properties, their relations;
- substantiated methods and developed practical techniques to form a subject area ontology;
- developed formats for ontologies storing and methods of ontologies distribution and support.
