Workshops Since 2003 Laboratory of object-oriented geoinformation systems runs a biennial international workshop “Information Fusion and Geographic Information Systems” (IF&GIS).
Workshops’ major subjects: - Data, information and knowledge harmonization, their integration and fusion in GIS;
- Mobile GIS;
- Intelligent GIS;
- Naval GIS;
- Information security and information protection in GIS;
- Legal problems of GIS development and use;
- GIS as a basis for monitoring systems;
- Ontologies and technologies of GIS and GIS-applications programming;
- Modeling in GIS;
- Operations research and theory of moving objects search for GIS-applications.
IF&GIS workshops take place in historical building of the House of Scientists (the former Palace of Prince Vladimir Romanov), in the centre of St. Petersburg (street address: Russia, 191186, St. Petersburg, Palace Embankment, № 26).
